Hematology 1
- Freshly drawn, well mixed, clot free EDTA specimens are a must for CBC testing. In preparation, they are placed on a mechanical mixer for a few moments, and checked for clots using 2 wooden applicator sticks. Any clots in a specimen would render it unacceptable.
