 | - At low power, identify the acanthotic epidermis.
- Within the epidermis, find microabscesses.
- Compare the areas of acute inflammation (neurophils and eosinophils) with areas of chronic inflammation (mononuclear cells and giant multinucleate cells).
- Look for organisms within giant cells
