Basal Cell Carcinoma
  • Shiny papules or nodules, scaly patches or plaques with variable pigmentation
  • Located on sun exposed skin
  • Rarely metastasize, but may be locally invasive and destructive
    • Translucent border typical
    • Central crusted ulceration commonly present
      • Histology: Proliferation of basaloid cells arising from the epidermis and extending into the dermis in lobules or strands
