Squamous Cell Carcinoma
	Firm erythematous to flesh colored elevated nodule with a smooth or warty surface; the central part may be hyperkeratotic, ulcerated or crusted Lesions occur in chronically sun-exposed skin and in areas of chronic injury such as burn scars, irritated sites, discoid lupus erythematosus and osteomyelitis sinuses
	Oral lesions may occur Has potential for both local invasion and metastasis
	Histology: Atypical keratinocytes extend from the epidermis in lobules and strands into the dermis See laboratory section for additional examples of histology
