Nevus
  • Variable appearance: flat or elevated, smooth or verrucoid, polypoid or sessile, pigmented or flesh-colored
  • In contrast to melanomas or atypical (dysplastic) nevi, most acquired nevi are symmetrical, have regular borders, are even in coloration, and have a diameter < 6 mm
    • Congenital Nevus
      • Histology: Nests of bland nevus cells are present along the basal layer (junctional nevus), in the dermis (intradermal nevus), or both (compound nevus)
