Molluscum Contagiosum
  • Firm, smooth, dome-shaped flesh colored papules with central umbilication
  • Most commonly seen on the trunk, face and extremities of children or the genitalia of sexually active adults
  • Spread easily from one individual to another and by autoinoculation
  • Histology: Lobular epidermal proliferation with central invagination filled with keratin and molluscum bodies (intracytoplasmic viral inclusions)
