	Non-inflamed lesions: comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) Inflamed lesions: papules, pustules, nodules or cysts Lesions are found in areas with abundant sebaceous glands such as the face and trunk
	Longstanding inflammatory disease results in scarring.
	Multifactorial disease resulting from 1) androgenic stimulation of sebaceous glands, 2) keratin plugging of the pilosebaceous canal with resultant accumulation of keratin and sebaceous debris, and 3) proliferation of bacteria in the pilosebaceous unit
	Histology: Dilated follicles and keratin-filled cystic
