Oligodendroglioma
Most oligodendrogliomas are well differentiated. They are composed of small cells with a round nucleolus and a clear cytoplasm (fried egg appearance) The cells have few very short processes and this helps for the differential diagnosis with the astrocytomas. The cells resemble the normal oligodendrocytes.
