Papanicolaou Test - Malignant (Cytology)
Frequent orange tumor cells are found in keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma. These tumors tend to have lower cohesion and more single cells than nonkeratinizing carcinoma but have the same clinical behavior. Although early cases metastasize to nearby regional lymph nodes, there is a strong tendency to metastasize widely and kill the patient. The aim and success of Papanicolaou testing is to prevent such cases.
