Kidney Fine Needle Aspiration - Malignant (Cytology)
Aspirate preparations contain many cell groups, some of them quite large. In this clear cell type carcinoma the spindled cells of the many blood vessels and connective tissue stroma are easily seen. The tumor cell cytoplasm is faintly green, almost transparent and vaguely defined. Necrotic or pyknotic cells are found in areas away from vessels.
